Spiritual Care angesichts des plötzlichen Todes

Pastoral care in situations of emergency and bereavement offers counselling and accompanying
presence to persons who are confronted to sudden death of a beloved being. Emergency
pastoral care addresses those situations of any citizen. That is why its descriptions and legitimizing
discourses are founded in human sciences. At one hand those actions are part of
community bereavement pastoral care, founded in the tradition of Christian spirituality. On the
other hand certain aspects of Christian spirituality will be highlighted in the practice of emergency
care as spiritual care
